Over the course of the program, participants will learn a wide range of skills in sustainable and organic agriculture such as planting, harvesting, natural building and composting. To complement the volunteer work, participants will have the opportunity to engage in texts and hear speakers discuss topics such as Jewish agricultural laws, food systems, and global food security.

Students will leave with a greater understanding of the complex issues surrounding sustainable food production and will begin to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and resources to affect positive change in their communities and on their campuses.

Space is still available from May 31 - June 7 at Kayam Farm in Reisterstown, MD.  For more information, visit ww.jewishfarmschool.org.
